Using the slogan “50 years of sweet dreams and beautiful
sunsets,” Villa Cofresi Hotel, a beachfront property in Rincón, is celebrating
half a century of success with improvements to its facilities, including a
modern elevator with panoramic sea views.
In 2015, and as part of its 50th anniversary celebration,
the hotel will offer different promotions and special events throughout the
year. In memory of Rubén Caro, founder of Hotel Villa Cofresí, the hotel will
hold a gala to benefit the Puerto Rican Diabetes Association with music by
Conjunto Quisqueya, a band that in past decades played at special events held
on the property.
Villa Cofresí’s history dates back to 1965 when Rincón-born
Rubén and wife Ritín Caro opened a beachfront restaurant. In 1968, they built
the first guestrooms in time for the world surfing competition held in Rincón.
Today, Hotel Villa Cofresí features 111 rooms, a restaurant, outdoor bar,
banquet hall, playground, watersports, free Wi-Fi, and all the amenities found
at a good hotel. Hotel Villa Cofresí’s dining alternatives include La Ana de
Cofresí, a restaurant specializing in fresh seafood, Angus meats, and Puerto
Rican delicacies. El Bohío Bar virtually steps from the beach, and offers a

Bajo el lema “50 años de dulces sueños y bellos
atardeceres”, el Hotel Villa Cofresí, ubicado frente a la playa en Rincón,
celebra medio siglo de trayectoria con mejoras a sus instalaciones, incluyendo
un moderno elevador con vista panorámica al mar.
En 2015 y como parte de las actividades del 50
aniversario, la hospedería ofrecerá distintas promociones y eventos especiales
durante el año. En memoria del fundador del Hotel Villa Cofresí, Rubén Caro, la
hospedería celebrará una gala a beneficio de la Asociación Puertorriqueña de
Diabetes que contará con la participación del Conjunto Quisqueya, agrupación
musical que en décadas pasadas amenizó importantes festividades en la
instalación.
La historia de la hospedería se remonta al 1965 cuando
el matrimonio compuesto por Rubén y Ritín Caro, naturales de Rincón, establecieron
un restaurante frente a la playa. En el 1968 construyeron las primeras
habitaciones para la celebración del torneo mundial de surfing en Rincón. Hoy
día el Hotel Villa Cofresí cuenta con 111 habitaciones, restaurante, Bohío Bar,
salón de banquetes, área de juegos, deportes acuáticos, servicio gratuito de
Wi-Fi y todas las comodidades que caracterizan a un buen hotel.
La oferta gastronómica del Hotel Villa Cofresí incluye
el restaurante La Ana de Cofresí que se especializa en mariscos frescos, carnes
