Taste of Rum 2014 in the Rum Capital of the World

First-rate rum and great music, what more could you ask for? You may enjoy both at A Taste of Rum 2014, Puerto Rico’s official rum festival—celebrating its fifth anniversary this year—an event that once again turns Puerto Rico into the rum capital of the world. The festival is sponsored by Rums of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC).

The festival will be held March 1 at the PRTC building on Paseo La Princesa in Old San Juan. There will be live music for dancing, food prepared by renowned local chefs, and samplings of more than eight brands of Puerto Rican rum.

In addition, award-winning bartenders will compete to create the “best drink,” and will also showcase their performance talents by incorporating bottles into their entertaining mixing routines.

As a preamble to this year’s event, in November 2013, the Taste of Rum East Coast Tour visited  Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, and Boston. The tour ends in Puerto Rico with the March 1, 2014 festival—where more than 2,000 people are expected to be in attendance. Get additional information at www.tasteofrums.com.

 

A Taste of Rum  2014 en la capital mundial del ron

Excelente ron y buena música, ¿qué más se puede pedir? Usted podrá disfrutar ambos en A Taste of Rum 2014, el festival oficial del ron en Puerto Rico —que este año celebra su quinto aniversario y nuevamente convierte a San Juan en la capital mundial de la bebida que caracteriza a nuestra isla. El evento es auspiciado por Rones de Puerto Rico y la Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico.

 

El festival se llevará a cabo el 1 de marzo bajo la arcada del edificio de la Compañía de Turismo ubicado en el Paseo La Princesa en el Viejo San Juan. Habrá música bailable en vivo, comida preparada por  nuestros mejores chefs de renombre internacional y degustación de más de ocho marcas de ron puertorriqueño.

Además, galardonados bartenders locales estarán compitiendo en la elaboración del mejor trago y harán  demostraciones estilo “performance” incorporando botellas a un divertido y atractivo juego visual.

Como antesala al evento, en noviembre del 2013 se celebró el Taste of Rum East Coast Tour en Washington D.C., Filadelfia, Nueva York y Boston.
